In conjunction with our Global Studies program, MMA sponsored a table at the Project C.U.R.E. First Ladies Luncheon honoring H.E. Margaret Kenyatta, First Lady of Kenya. The event was co-chaired by Cindy McCain and raised 3.2 million dollars to send medical supplies to hospitals and clinics in Kenya. Dr Douglas Jackson, CEO of Project C.U.R.E., and Dr James Jackson, the founder, spoke to the attendees about how a project that began in a home garage has become one of the oldest and largest distributors of medical donations in the world touching families in 130 countries.
